The Lonhro colt is unbeaten this preparation, after winning his first-up autumn start in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes by a nose.

He then went on to beat stable mate More Joyous in the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes last start by almost a length.

Pierro is also nominated for the Group 1 The BMW this weekend and trainer Gai Waterhouse will have to secede which of the two Group 1 races he contests.

Also included in the 2013 George Ryder Stakes nominations is Shoot Out.

The High Chaparral gelding has won 10 of his 33 race starts and has earned more than $3.17 million in prize money during his career.

Shoot Out is also looking to continue his winning run this autumn carnival, after winning the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes at Warwick Farm on March 9, 2013.

The six-year-old has since had a barrier trial and will line up for the 2013 George Ryder Stakes fresh this Saturday.

Rebel Dane, Solzhenitsyn and Manighar are also included in the 2013 George Ryder Stakes nominations.
